Terms of service

1. What the service is

Slide Roulette is a party game you play in a browser. A big screen shows slides nobody has seen, the presenter clicks through them on their phone, and everyone else reacts and gives points. Playing is free: Classic and Lightning, up to 8 players and the everyday deck library cost nothing and need no account.

You can host a free room without an account. You need one to buy anything, to upload decks of your own, and for the account page, where your games are kept. You sign in with a link sent to your email address.

2. Who may buy

You must be 18 or older to buy. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must make the purchase for you. Both consumers and businesses may buy. Some of the rules below apply to consumers only, and say so where they do.

3. What is for sale

• Party Pass, 99 kr (€12.99, $14.99, SEK 149) for 48 hours. Up to 12 players in one room, the Chaos, Tournament and Teams modes, the extra games, the decks written for a season, and the decks you upload yourself.
• Host Plus, 119 kr (€15.99, $17.99, SEK 179) a month or 599 kr (€79, $89, SEK 899) a year. Everything in the Party Pass, for as long as the subscription runs, with up to 12 players in one room at a time, and the settings you host with saved on your account.
• Company Pack, 1,495 kr (€199, $219, SEK 2,195) excl. VAT, for 7 days. Everything in the Party Pass, bought by a company: the invoice carries the company's name, address and CVR number. It is bought for one evening rather than per person, and no number of people is promised or required — there is no limit on how many may play. Up to 500 people may watch one room.
• Department Pack, 795 kr (€109, $119, SEK 1,195) excl. VAT, for 7 days, with an invoice in the company's name, address and CVR number. The Department Pack covers one event for one department and is bought as a whole, not per person. Up to 25 players may play in one room, and up to 25 may watch. Buying a Company Pack while a Department Pack is still active lifts the 25-player limit for the rest of the period.
• Gift a night, 99 kr (€12.99, $14.99, SEK 149). A Party Pass given as a code to somebody else, for up to 12 players. Its 48 hours start when the code is redeemed, not when it is bought.

Prices are in Danish kroner, euros, US dollars or Swedish kronor, and you pay in the currency shown at the checkout. The Party Pass, Host Plus and the gift code include VAT in every one of them, which is Danish VAT at 25 % where VAT is due. The Department Pack and the Company Pack are quoted excluding VAT, which is added at the checkout where VAT is due. The price you see at the checkout is the price you pay; there is no other fee.

4. How a purchase works

Payments are handled by Stripe. You are sent to Stripe Checkout, where you pay by payment card or MobilePay. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us. Stripe sends the receipt to the email address on your account.

A purchase is a contract between you and the seller named below, not between you and Stripe. See our privacy policy for what we keep about a purchase.

5. Delivery

Delivery is immediate. As soon as Stripe confirms the payment, the Party Pass or the subscription is active on your account and every room you open uses it. A Party Pass runs for 48 hours from that moment, and a Department Pack or a Company Pack for 7 days. A gift code is shown on the page you land on after paying, and its 48 hours start when the code is redeemed, not when it is bought. There is nothing to download and nothing is shipped.

If you move up to a larger package, the amount you already paid comes off the price of the new one. What you had ends as soon as the new payment goes through, and not before: an upgrade you start and do not finish leaves what you already bought exactly as it was.

6. Your right to withdraw, and giving it up

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of a digital service, counted from the day you buy it.

Because delivery is immediate, we ask you to give that right up. At the checkout you consent to the service starting at once, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once it has been supplied. This is the exception in section 18(2)(13) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven § 18, stk. 2, nr. 13).

In plain words: if you buy a Party Pass and use it, the 14 days are gone. If you buy and have not used the service at all, write to support@slideroulette.com and we will sort it out.

7. Subscriptions, and how to stop one

Host Plus renews automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, at the price above, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, from your account or by writing to support@slideroulette.com.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep the subscription until then, and we do not refund part of a period. A Party Pass does not renew and does not need cancelling; it simply ends after 48 hours.

You can move from monthly to yearly whenever you like, from the pricing page while you are signed in. Stripe works out what is left of the period you have already paid for, takes it off the yearly price and charges the difference at once; the change takes effect when that payment goes through. You cannot move back from yearly to monthly in the middle of a period: a yearly subscription runs to the end of the year you paid for, and you can start a monthly one after that.

8. Refunds

Beyond the right of withdrawal above, a refund is at our discretion. If something went wrong, write to support@slideroulette.com and tell us what happened. Your rights under Danish consumer law apply whatever this paragraph says.

A refund of something you upgraded to returns what was actually charged for it, which is its price less the amount credited from the purchase before it. It does not restore that earlier purchase, which ended when the credit was used for the upgrade.

9. How you may use it

The game is played out loud in a room full of people, so the rule is short: do not put anything into it that you would not want on the big screen.

• No unlawful content, no hateful content, and nothing that infringes somebody else's rights, in a deck, in a room name, in a display name or in anything else you type.
• A deck you upload or have written for you stays your responsibility. By uploading it you confirm that it is yours to share and that sharing it breaks nobody else's rights.
• We may close a room or an account that breaks these rules, and we may remove a deck. Where we can, we will say why.
• If you take a picture in a room, you give us the right to show it on that room's screens for that evening and nothing more. Pictures of other people are never asked for and must not be taken. The host is responsible for who is in the room.
• If you as host turn the big screen's microphone on, you choose that the sound of the room is sent live to the people who are somewhere else. It is then your responsibility to tell everybody in the room, including the people who are not playing. We send that sound live and do not keep it.
• Do not try to break, overload or work around the service, and do not resell access to it.

10. Who owns what

We own Slide Roulette: the software, the design, the name and the mark, and the decks in our own library. You may play them, show them on a screen in a room full of people and take a highlight home. You may not copy them out of the product, sell them, or build another product out of them.

The decks and their slides — every page, picture, sound and video in them — are protected by copyright and belong to us or to the people who made them. You are licensed to play them in the game, in the rooms you open or join, and for nothing else. You may not copy, scrape, download or redistribute them, and you may not collect them with a script or through the addresses the game uses to show them. Those addresses are for the evening they are sent for and stop working afterwards.

A deck or a picture you upload stays yours. Uploading it gives us the permission we need to run the game and nothing else: to store it, to turn it into slides, and to show those slides on the screen and on the phones in rooms you open. The permission lasts as long as the deck is here and ends when you delete it or ask us to. We do not sell it, do not put it in the public library, and do not use it to advertise the product without asking you first.

A highlight card is made from a round that was played: a slide, a score and the reactions it got. The presenter gets a link to it, and anyone holding that link can open it. You can ask us to take one down.

When the deck-writing feature is switched on, a deck written on demand is written by an AI model rather than by a person. Such a deck is raw material for a talk, it is not checked by us before it appears on the screen, and what an AI model produces may not be protected by copyright at all.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We run the service with care, but we do not promise that it is always available. There is no uptime guarantee. We may change how the game works, add things, and remove things, including decks and game modes. If a change takes away something you have paid for, write to us.

We are not responsible for a failure caused by something outside our reasonable control: an outage at the companies that host this service, a network or power failure, a strike, or a government act. If such a thing takes the service away for long enough to matter, write to support@slideroulette.com and we will put it right or refund what you paid for the time you lost.

12. Liability

Our total liability to you, for anything arising out of these terms or the service, is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, or for a party that did not go the way you hoped.

Nothing here limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and under mandatory Danish consumer law.

13. If you want to complain

Write to support@slideroulette.com first. We answer, and most things end there.

If that does not settle it, a consumer may complain to Nævnenes Hus, Center for Klageløsning, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark (naevneneshus.dk).

14. Law and venue

Danish law governs these terms and any purchase made under them. A dispute belongs to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. A change is announced on this page, and the date at the top is the date the version you are reading took effect. A change never applies backwards to a purchase you have already made.

What changed on 16 September 2026: Host Plus monthly went up to the price listed in section 3, and a second company package, the smaller of the two in section 3, was added beside the first. A subscription that was running on the old monthly price keeps that price until it is cancelled.

What changed on 19 September 2026: the two company packages were given English names, the Department Pack and the Company Pack, and are called by those names on this page. Neither price changed and nothing already bought changed. The Department Pack now has a limit of 20 players in one room. The Company Pack is unchanged and still has no player limit.

What changed on 22 September 2026: you can now move up from a Party Pass to a Department Pack or a Company Pack, and from a monthly Host Plus subscription to a yearly one. Sections 5, 7 and 8 say what that does to the purchase you already had and to a refund. No price changed.

What changed on 23 September 2026: section 9 gained a point about the big screen's microphone. If you as host turn it on, telling everybody in the room is your responsibility. No price changed.

What changed on 25 September 2026: the Party Pass and Host Plus now seat up to 12 players in one room, and the Department Pack up to 25. Watchers from home come with the Department Pack and the Company Pack. No price changed.

16. The rest of the agreement

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and that part is read as the closest lawful version of what it was trying to say.

You may not transfer your account or this agreement to somebody else. We may transfer it to a company that takes over this business — the likeliest reason being that Elisma becomes a limited company — and we will say so on this page before we do. A transfer never takes away a right you have as a consumer.

These terms, and the privacy policy, are the whole of the agreement between us about the service.
