Host a game

Choose whether the presenter runs the deck from their phone, or the host runs it from the big screen. Slides on a clock still change on their own.

Show the situation before the talk begins. The room gets the context on the big screen, while the presenter gets a suggestion for how to approach it. The suggestion is only there for inspiration. Decks without an intro start on their first slide. When the slides change on their own, the intro stays up for 10 seconds.

A second plaque appears beside the wheel. Press it and every phone gets fifteen seconds to say who should go up. The wheel still turns and lands on whoever the room chose, so nobody has to point at anybody.

Between talks you can ask everyone for one picture: something on the table, what you are drinking, the ceiling. A picture may turn up on a slide later the same evening, and every one of them is deleted when the room closes. Who is in the room is your responsibility.

It decides which decks can come up. It does not change how the game itself is played.

The audience gets forty-five seconds to type questions, and the round ends as soon as everybody has asked. They are then shown one at a time while the presenter answers.

Safe for work is on, so the drink rules are hidden. Turn it off above if you want them.

Everyone but the presenter gets five words from the deck on their phone. A point for each word the presenter says, and five more for a full card.

The presenter gets a secret dare on their phone. After the talk the audience votes on whether it was managed. If it was, that is fifteen extra points.

The audience keeps getting suggestions of things to shout or ask. A new one every forty seconds, and the presenter cannot see them. There are no points at stake.

The big screen measures the sound level during the applause and shows a result from 0 to 100. No sound is recorded, kept or sent. Your browser asks for the microphone the first time.

About one round in four the presenter can be dealt a deck in the other language and has to give it in yours. It only happens where there are decks in both languages.

The last talk of every lap — and a tournament's final — runs at 6 seconds a slide with the slides changing on their own. The rest of the game carries on as normal.

The audience can slip a slide into a talk. You choose how many each. The presenter has never seen it either, and the screen says who did it. Chaos comes with this on.

The audience can stop a talk. When enough of them press at the same moment, the screen freezes on the slide and the presenter gets twenty seconds to explain it. Once per talk, and never on the last slide.
